International Ministries Hawai‘i is an organization dedicated to welcoming international students and sharing the hope of Jesus. The people of International Ministries are here to help you get settled on O‘ahu.
We have many activities and classes available to help you make friends and adjust to your new life here! We have regular activities like Global Cafe and English classes happening every week and special events like hiking and sightseeing throughout the semester for you to get involved.
Director Bio
John Allison
John moved to Hawai‘i for an internship to work with International students at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in 2005. When God called him to stay, he transferred to UH and graduated in 2009. He worked for Baptist Collegiate Ministries O‘ahu from 2006 to 2021 when he was hired as the Director for International Ministries. Since 2015, he has also had the blessing of being a part of Explicit Movement where he has spoken for conferences and training seminars in the US and Internationally.
